Deepest sympathy on your loss, even though it was not recent. Losing a pet is probably the most difficult pain a person can face outside of losing another human relative, in some ways more painful as our pets become such a rock for us to lean on. I am happy that your little sweetie is no longer in pain.

My Sweet Bon Bon (aka Bon Bon Jovi) Every night I play solitaire with your picture as the background in the room we shared for nearly 16 years. I have a little memorial table with pictures and the cards I received. I put your leash and harness there. The purple urn where your ashes rest (and some hair) is there too. And Suzie's and Nikki's collars from long, long ago. Can't believe it's been a whole year. You were a big part of my world and I miss you terribly. I want to love another dog so I have been searching the pet adoption sites for a senior rescue dog. There are many all over the country. So the hole in my heart will heal. Thanks to those who lit candles and offered kind words. It means a lot.
