Casey
Lee was born sometime in 1984. We got the little mutt in
an animal shelter in 1985. Who knows what possessed
Kathy, the kid's mother, to choose a dirty little white
mutt from all the others at the animal shelter that day,
however, within hours Casey was a member of our family.
Little did we know
that Casey would become a "Prince among Puppies". He was
to become the best little friend in the world to our
children, Tara, age 3, and Nic, a newborn at the time.
Over the years,
Casey enjoyed his little "Drag Shows" where the kids
would dress him in doll clothes and sunglasses. He also
enjoyed boating trips all over the Western States, where
he loved the bow of the boat with the wind blowing his
hair back until he looked like some strange creature. We
will never forget the time he fell off the bow of the
boat trying to chase a bird. He also loved kneeboarding
with Dad and riding in the front window of the
motorhome. We often wonder how many hours Casey spent
"going for a ride" with mom and the kids with his nose
out the window.
Nic carted Casey
everywhere a kid and dog could go and probably some
places they shouldn't have gone. Tara had planned for
years to have her senior pictures taken this year with
her little buddy, however, we're so sorry to know that
wasn't to happen. We lost little Casey just months
before her pictures.
Casey is with us
and he always will be - he is part of our family and
we'll always love him.
